Inspiration for the Mosaic Centre was drawn from a number of sources. The Bullitt Centre, the most advanced energy and water efficient urban building to date, is considered one of the principal inspirations. However, the team also looked at some unique and innovative projects going on in Seattle, such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, some University medical research buildings and even a Glass Museum.
